This all-breed AKC sanctioned agility trial was hosted by the Santa Maria Kennel Club and held on the Santa Maria Elks grounds. As usual for the Central Coast of the California, the spring weather was gorgeous with lots of clear sun and warm weather. Typical for this area, a heavy spring breeze kicked up in the afternoon and some of the longer haired dogs had some interesting pictures as a result!
These images were all shot with a Nikon D3000 using the AF-S NIKKOR 55-300MM 1:4.5-5.6G ED zoom lens. This was my first attempt to shoot dogs in action and quite a few of them came out pretty well.
